Any lens on Squidoo can be transfered to another account.

This means you could sell a lens, give it away, put it up for auction, offer it as a prize in a competition, or move it from one of your accounts to another.

To transfer a lens you need to do the following:

1. Login to your Squidoo account
2. Head to your dashboard www.squidoo.com/member/lenses
3. Scroll down a bit and look in the left sidebar for the link ‘Transfer a Lens’. Click it and the new page will load.
4. Select your lens URL from the drop-down list, type in the email address of the person you want to transfer the lens to, and click Go.

Important things to note:

1. You can only transfer a lens from your account if you have at least 3 lenses. So if you have just one lens and need to transfer it, just register 2 extra lenses to make up the numbers. I don’t think you even need to publish them. Just make your total number 3.

2. You can transfer the lens to ANY email address, it doesn’t matter – what matters is the account you are logged in

to when you click the Accept Transfer link. So if you are moving the lens from one of your accounts to another the email address you type in does not need to match any particular account – you just need to be able to receive the email. If you’ve ever tried juggling the email addresses here with multiple accounts you’ll see how this method is easier ;)

2.5. If you are selling a lens then you COULD of course transfer it to YOURSELF then just give your customer the Accept Transfer link, and bypass the Squidoo transfer link being sent to your customer. This means they won’t get an email from Squidoo starting with ‘Your Pal So-And-So Wants To Transfer A Lens To You’. It’s just a more professional way of doing things.

3. Once someone accepts your lens transfer there is no way for you to get it back. So if you are selling the lens make sure you get paid first.

And there you have it. Lens Transfer basics.

www.BuildMyLens.com

At BuildMyLens.com we build custom Squidoo lenses.

A lot of our clients have told us that they have been able to go into Edit mode on the lenses we build for them and see better ways to build their own lenses. They see something on their lenses and they are able to jump right in and see how it was done.

It’s like looking behind that curtain and seeing the Wizard of Oz. You can learn by seeing it all right there in front of you, like looking over our shoulders while we work.

So if you want the ultimate how-to for building better lenses, it seems a BuildMyLens lens is a great hands on tool – as well as promoting your business in the process!

We also provide our clients with our exclusive Squidoo Lens Cheatsheet full of tips and pointers to make sure your lens is well cared for once it leaves our nest :)

On Squidoo you can find us under the username tiffanyandlewis

This is our joint account where we conjure up all our lens creations. It is our virtual laboratory.

Once you tell us your topic and give us the relevant information we get cooking, and we start to build your lenses in secret. When we are completely finished we publish the lenses to the world then transfer them info YOUR Squidoo account.

So your name goes on your lenses, and they are no longer in our account. So you claim the fame and glory, we do the heavy lifting work for you.

You can see some of our lens experiments in our account at www.squidoo.com/lensmasters/tiffanyandlewis

But you won’t find all our client lenses there (since they have been transferred out)!

To get your own lenses made about your business/products/service just head to www.BuildMyLens.com
