Pings are part of blogging and necessary for your blog posts to be quickly indexed by blog directories. This is what a ping is: A ping is a program that sends information over the Internet from one computer or server to another computer or server in order to prompt a response from the receiving computer or server. Basically it’s a request that says, “Hey, there’s something new here.
